Cristina Decarli
Art therapist, lecturer, and facilitator in awareness-based pathways

Cristina is a professional who brings together competence, care, and inner presence, guided by a continuous exploration of human nature, colour, and the forms of healing. Her path began with artistic and art therapy training, then expanded through anthroposophical pedagogy, generative psychology, and a Master’s degree in spiritual accompaniment for illness and end-of-life care, which offers her a profound perspective on fragility and the value of living.
Over the years, she has worked as an art therapist in a variety of settings (clinics, institutes, care homes, mental health centres, and social groups) integrating approaches which combine creativity, listening, and personal support. She leads painting studios, art therapy programmes, and seminars, and carries out independent work at her Atelier La Teca di Cristallo, where she welcomes groups and individuals into pathways of expression and transformation.
Her experience in caregiving intertwines with rich and extensive training: anthroposophical art therapy, psychogenerative art therapy, visual re-education, anthroposophical treatment practices, and experiential paths centred on awareness. Her work is sustained by a deep understanding of pain, resilience, and the value of authentic presence.
Within Ars Vitae Academy, she offers knowledge, blending technical skill, artistic sensitivity, and an educational vision grounded in the care of the soul, of relationships, and of the creative gesture.
Her name reflects her essence: Cristina, a name that sustains.
And this is exactly what she brings into her work: a gentle strength that welcomes, accompanies, and transforms.
