Elena Astolfi
Restorer, academic lecturer, and expert in ancient and contemporary painting techniques

Elena is a restorer and lecturer of extraordinary experience, guided from the very beginning by a desire to understand the substance of art, its breath, its memory. Her sensitivity arises from deep contact with artworks, from ancient surfaces to the most contemporary languages, and from a vision that combines scientific rigor, artistic intuition, and profound respect for the history each image carries.
After her artistic studies and graduating with honors from the Aldo Galli Academy, she founded her own studio, A.R.C. Arte Restauro Conservazione, through which she works on movable and immovable heritage in collaboration with various Italian Superintendencies and institutions. Her work encompasses diagnostics, restoration, conservation, and artistic direction of complex projects—from monumental pictorial cycles to contemporary works, including street art, a field in which she is recognized as one of Italy’s leading specialists.
Alongside her studio work, she has cultivated a long academic career: she has taught artistic disciplines in several institutions and currently holds the chair of painting techniques, chromatics, and contemporary art restoration at the Academy of Fine Arts in Verona, contributing to the training of generations of artists and restorers. Her approach brings together technical precision, material knowledge, interpretive insight, and a deep respect for the transformative processes of art.
In addition to her restoration and teaching activities, Elena participates as a speaker at conferences, talks, and residencies dedicated to urban art, conservation, and the new challenges of contemporary heritage, offering a competent, lucid perspective that bridges disciplines and diverse forms of sensitivity.
Within Ars Vitae Academy, she brings her expertise in artistic techniques, conservation, and material history: a solid and generous presence capable of conveying the value of care, precision, and the gesture that repairs.
Her name reflects her nature: Elena, a guiding light.
And this is what she brings to her work—the steady, luminous clarity of someone who restores life to art.
